This 1995 Jaguar XJS 2+2 convertible was purchased by its current owner in September 1999, and 54k of the 99k miles shown have been added since that time. The car is finished in Flamenco Red over Cream leather and is powered by a 4.0-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, fog lights, a power-retractable beige soft top, 16″ five-spoke alloy wheels, heated power-adjustable front sport seats, cruise control, power windows, and automatic climate control. This XJS convertible is now offered on dealer consignment at no reserve with service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title.

The car is finished in Flamenco Red and features a power-retractable beige soft top as well as fog lights, a Jaguar leaper hood ornament, dual exhaust outlets, and a telescoping antenna. A dent is present on the rear-left quarter panel, the third brake light surround is scratched, and chips are present on the hood.

The 16″ five-spoke alloy wheels show corrosion and curb marks, and they are mounted with Yokohama tires. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes.

The cabin features heated power-adjustable front sport seats and two rear bucket seats upholstered in Cream leather. Interior amenities include cruise control, power windows, and automatic climate control. The stereo does not work, and tears are evident on the driver’s seat.

The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 99k miles, approximately 54k of which were added under current ownership.

The 4.0-liter inline-six was factory rated at 237 horsepower and 282 lb-ft of torque. The secondary air pump was replaced in February 2024.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
