On eBay USA October 12, 2013. Asking USD $ 1,800 with 53,530 miles. USA VIN is SAJNA3849JC147575.

1988 Jaguar XJ-SC, V-12 parts car. This car belongs to a friend who I am helping to liquidate the car. The vehicle was hardly being used. In spite of all that it was very well maintained. The entire power steering system including the rack and pinion unit is brand new. Unfortunately the inevitable happened and it caught on fire. The engine is still good, but all the engine accessories are damaged. The interior of the car is flawless and I don’t believe the convertible soft top has ever been used. I am not sure if you would need it for parts or restoration either way it can work.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
