1987 JAGUAR XJ-S HE AUTO
Estimate: £9,000 - £11,000
V5 present
MoT date: 25/04/2027
Chassis number: SAJJNAEW3BC138952
Engine size: 5343 cc
This beautiful 5.3-litre Jaguar XJ-S HE is described by the vendor as being “standard throughout, including its stereo” and still wears its original Silver Birch paintwork. It was first sold in February 1987 by Mann Egerton in Kings Lynn, whose sticker still appears in the rear window, and today the odometer is showing only 56,924 miles. The car was driven 100 miles to our premises.
The vendor acquired the Jaguar a couple of years ago and reports that “no expense has been spared”. The underside has been sealed, the wheels have been refurbished, and the boot contains its original tool kit and jack. Highlights of the well-preserved brown leather interior include cruise control, well-preserved walnut trim, trip computer and make-up mirror in the glove box.
The car comes with a full handbook pack, and its service book records 16 services up to 54k miles in 2022, with receipts indicating another oil change in 2024. This history file contains various MoT certificates and a good collection of maintenance receipts covering 2011-22, including around £3.5k spent on wide-ranging recommissioning work in 2018. The last 4 annual MoT inspections were all passed without any advisories, and the current certificate is valid to 11th May 1987. Spare keys are present, and the V5C shows 5 former keepers.
The registration number is non-transferable.
