Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this sharp 1977 Jaguar XJ-S Coupe. The current owner has enjoyed this unique Jag for a couple years and is ready to pass it to a new enthusiast. Finished in bright red paint with gray rally wheels and white wall radial tires, black bumpers, and chrome trim, it's retains the classic lines XJ-S is known for. The interior compliments the paint with tan leather buckets, a crack free, black console and dash, plus features such as AM/FM/Cassette, air conditioning, power windows, power locks, power brakes, power steering, telescopic steering wheel, etc. Under the hood is an unexpected surprise in the form a 454ci big block V8 mated to a GM TH400 3-speed automatic transmission. Power is put to the ground through an independent rear suspension with 3.23 gears. This engine combo is far more reliable and ALOT quicker than the inline six it replaced. The odometer of this car reads just over 87k miles, but the seller is unsure when the drivetrain swap was completed. Notable mentioning that this car had a "John's car kit" order form in the glove box when the current owner purchased it.
