This one is special! A very low production number of the Collection Rouge XJ-S was stated to be less than 100... All were painted Signal Red with Magnolia Leather with Red Piping and Red accented wheels. Our 86 year old seller has only enjoyed his Jaguar in the summer months and stated it was rarely even in the rain. It has not been professionally detailed, it came to us clean, well preserved, and ready to sell. He stated there are no accidents in its history and it still has all of the original VIN tags on the body panels. The paint is exceptional with no damage and the interior is also exceptional (noting the wood trim has the normal age-related cracking in the varnish)... with no doubt showing as a very well loved and cared for low mileage Jaguar. The mechanical condition is stated to be excellent with no problems noted and he welcomes a prepurchase inspection. Power comes from a 5.3 liter SOHC HE V12, rated at 263 HP and 300 lb. ft. of torque. The Rouge XJ-S production began in June and included the welcome change of the Lucas engine management was replaced by a Magneti Marelli system. The Air Conditioning has been converted to use the new eco-friendly coolant and a new battery was recently installed.
