Opening bid $10,000, reserve not met, 0 bids, 9 days left in auction, seller 374cr3941, 43k miles
Seller's description:
1991 XJS Classic. We purchased this vehicle in 2006 for my wife’s 50 birthday. We bought it from our neighbor that purchased it from the original owner. It had 18,000 miles on it when he bought it, and 25,000 when we bought it from him. It now has approximately 43,800 on it. Never been wrecked, original outside and original interior. Has the original V12 engine with automatic transmission, original rear end. No touch-ups on paint. Included is the boot for the top when the top is down. There’s two key fobs, each with a set of keys. We replaced the radio with a new one with a cd player. It has power steering, power brakes, power locks, power windows, power convertible top, rear window defogger, (the rear window is glass) tilt steering wheel, power antenna, cruise control, fog lights, dual exhaust, spoke wheels , new brake calipers and pads on front and new pads on rear and new battery this past year. It also has the Jaguar factory security system. We put new tires on it shortly after we purchased it as it had the original v-rated tires on it. The tires we put on it have approximately 14,000 miles on them. Date codes are all 1506 with no signs of dry rot. The vehicle has always been garage kept. I keep a cover over the vehicle and keep desiccant inside to help keep moisture out. This is a classic and a very collectible vehicle.
Maintenance and repair items:
Replaced distributor, rotor button, plug wires and plugs 2012
Replaced tdc sensor on front of engine. 2024
Replaced front brake calipers and pads, replaced rear pads 2022
Replaced passenger side window motor 2009
Replaced one radiator hose and have the other new hose as a spare.
New battery this past year.
Expansion tank repaired 2021
Problems:
Speedometer doesn’t work correctly (odometer and trip meter are correct)
Tachometer doesn’t work correctly
Rack & pinion leaks fluid slightly
Slight oil leak at rear of engine. (May be the oil pressure sensor)
Broken spoke on right front
Cruise control did work when we bought it, but, now it doesn’t work
A/c needs charging and leaks down. We charged it at the first of the summer and the next year, it had to be charged again.
Both seats show a little wear on the outside front edges of the backs.
Passenger heated seat never has worked. Driver’s seat heater works fine.
Side windows fit tight against the top when the top is up. (I think the top seal has compressed a little over the years and causes the top to sit about 1/8” low on the top of the windshield.
Slight dent on front middle of hood It was there when we purchased it. Paint is not scratched.
Very slight dent near the antenna.
some discoloration on the inside liner of the top. Outside is like new.
