64,000 miles
on ebay 04/07
sellwrites:
This is a superb, low-mileage, pampered 1991 Jaguar XJS convertible collection edition.

I bought this car 10 years ago. The previous owner, as well as myself, used the car only for occasional Sunday drives. The car never saw rain, salt, snow, and has always been kept in a garage. It has never been driven during the winter. The car is rust free. A major tune-up was recently done. All belts, fuel filter, oil change, spark plugs, wires, and front and wheel breaks were replaced by a Jaguar mechanic. New exhaust also.

The car does not have any scratches or dents. The paint is shiny. It has never been smoked in.

It has new tires and wire wheels, which was a $3,000 option. The top is in like-new condition. All of the electronics, lights, and switches work. The engine and transmission run like new.

The leather seats show a little wear, but its normal for the age of the car. The transmission shifter console wood grain has little wear.

I am selling the car because I do not use it very often. The car runs and drives beautifully and it is sure to turn heads everywhere you go. Any questions, please email me. Happy bidding.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
