This 1996 Jaguar XJS 2+2 convertible shows 75k miles, and it has spent most of its time registered in the Carolinas. It is finished in Carnival Red over Cream leather, and it is powered by a 4.0-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, a power-retractable beige soft top, 16″ five-spoke alloy wheels, heated power-adjustable front seats, and a Kenwood head unit. Purchased by the seller in April 2024, this XJS convertible is now offered with a clean Carfax report and a clean South Carolina title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Carnival Red and features a power-retractable beige soft top as well as a soft top boot, a Jaguar growler hood emblem, and dual exhaust outlets. The power antenna works intermittently.
The 16″ five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with Otani tires, which are said to be newer items. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes.
The cabin features heated power-adjustable front seats and two rear bucket seats upholstered in Cream leather with contrasting piping. Interior amenities include automatic climate control, power windows, and a Kenwood head unit with SiriusXM connectivity. The cruise control and dash-mounted clock function intermittently.
The four-spoke leather- and wood-trimmed steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 75k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership.
The 4.0-liter inline-six was factory rated at 237 horsepower and 282 lb-ft of torque. The alternator and serpentine belt were replaced in February 2024.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.
