This 1996 Jaguar XJS convertible is finished in Spindrift White over Coffee leather and powered by a 4.0-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a power-retractable tan convertible top, chrome-finished 16″ wheels, power-adjustable front seats, air conditioning, cruise control, and a Sony head unit with Bluetooth. The car was first registered in Missouri and spent time in California and Florida before being acquired by the seller in 2022. This final-year XJS shows 15k miles and is offered with a top boot, a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Spindrift White (NDM) with chrome accents and features a power antenna, dual exhaust outlets, and a tan soft top with a heated glass rear window that can be seen raised in the gallery below. The seller notes that the lower front valance was previously damaged, and it was repaired and repainted in preparation for the sale. The antenna mast was replaced in September 2021. A top boot is included with the car.

Chrome-finished 16″ wheels wear 225/60 Hankook Kinergy PT tires that were fitted in June 2021. A brake fluid flush was also carried out at the time of the tire replacement.

The 2+2 cabin features seating upholstered in Coffee leather with matching carpets, and burl wood veneers accent the dashboard, center console, steering wheel, and door panels. An aftermarket Sony head unit has been added and features Bluetooth connectivity as well as an auxiliary speaker mounted in the driver’s door panel. Amenities include power-adjustable front seats, air conditioning, and cruise control. The trunk-mounted CD changer is inoperative. A cut-off switch for the battery was installed during time with a previous owner.

Instrumentation consists of a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer along with gauges for voltage, fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 15k miles, of which approximately 300 were added by the seller.

The 4.0-liter inline-six features electronic fuel injection and was rated at 245 horsepower with 289 lb-ft of torque when new. Work performed in June 2021 included replacement of the secondary air pump and accessory belts along with a refrigerant recharge for the air conditioning system. The battery was replaced in February 2022. The air conditioning evaporator is leaking.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The differential fluid was changed in June 2021.

A window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, and service records are included in the sale.

Seller's description:

This car was purchased new (12/6/96) at Cush Jaguar, San Diego CA, through a corporate lease out of Missouri. During this ownership car accumulated approximately 13,000 miles in a 19 year period. The automobile was kept in the owner’s entrance lobby to his warehousing distribution center or stored inside the climate controlled warehouse during his California ownership.

Report shows second owner in 2012 who is actually the original owner. Car was relocated to Missouri, and re-titled as his personal car.

Original owner sold the car at charity auction in 2015 to owner 2 in Clearwater, Florida. Third owner purchased the vehicle in 2021 and the car relocated to Venice, Florida.

I recently located and bought the car.

This car has always been in storage or garaged by each owner. Everything works as new. Original factory radio is included with sale and is inside the Sony box. Car is original throughout other than Sony radio w/ Bluetooth, Mic & Speaker. See service receipts (noted on file) for engine/transmission/rear differential recent service details.

Car has a set of five chrome slotted disc wheels. Original spare tire with chrome wheel is pictured in ad, with the wheel’s protective plastic cover still intact. This same wheel was offered in a “diamond cut” satin finish, which is the wheel on most of the ‘94/’96 builds.

Rarer color combination. Spindrift White was matched with light beige or the dark blue interior in the majority of these cars. This car has the Coffee interior. Original window sticker confirms Coffee interior and “Special Walnut” wood trim. See attachment file I have and will email.
