Car returns to ebay 1/25
Car has a buy it now price of $3,000 for 6 bids, 6 days left in auction, seller saramm61od, car now in Pescadero, California, 91k miles
Seller's description:
This 1995 Jaguar XJS is an original vehicle with a clean New Hampshire title and a mileage of 91000. The car is in need of electrical work and was mainly used for weekend drives. The owner bought it unseen from Florida and shipped it to California. It briefly ran but the starter jammed during oil/sparks/leads/filters change and now does not start just clicks (sounds like solenoid not fully engaging). Was therefore unable to insure or smog or register it or even change the title to California. Regrettably with the cost of labour here in California Bay Area and need for space on my driveway it is not economical for me to repair and I need to cut my losses at this point.
-Non runner. Needs starter repair and possibly engine harness repair.
-Valuable spares- rear lamps go for $500 each, plastic bumpers $500-1000 plus desirable V12-only turbine alloy wheels in great condition easily $1000.
-bodywork pretty good, no rust
-desirable color and spec- rare late 6.0 litre V12 convertible with tan hood in good condition.
The car is in need of a starter motor repair and possibly engine electrical repair.
I stupidly bought it unseen from Florida from a guy called Mito Costello and shipped it to California. It briefly ran but the starter jammed during thorough oil/sparks/leads/filters changes and now it does not start just clicks (solenoid?)
Was therefore unable to smog or register it or change the title. Regrettably with the cost of labour here in California Bay Area and my busy life it is not economical for me to repair and I need to cut my (huge) losses at this point.
