This 1990 Jaguar XJS convertible is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission and is finished in Glacier White with a black top and a Barley leather interior. It was built on September 15, 1989 and reportedly sold new at Jake Kaplan’s Jaguar in Providence, Rhode Island and relocated to California in the 1990s. Records show the car is a multiple-time award winner at Jaguar Clubs of North America concours events, and factory equipment includes 15″ cross-spoke wheels, a cassette stereo, and a black top boot. This XJS shows 63k miles and is now offered with a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate, owner’s manuals and literature, an extra set of wheels, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The exterior is finished in Glacier White (NDP) accented by chrome trim. The black convertible top is equipped with a glass rear window and electric defroster. The top is fitted with a tan headliner, and a stain is present. The seller also notes that touch-up paint has been applied to the passenger-side door edge as well as the trunk sill.
Factory chrome 15” cross-spoke wheels are fitted with a set of 215/70 Michelin Defender tires that show 2017 date codes. A set of five silver factory cross-spoke wheels with Pirelli P600 tires are included with the car and shown in the gallery.
The interior is trimmed in Barley leather with wood accents and matching console and door panels. The air conditioning system and the radio are currently inoperable.
The 6-digit odometer shows just under 63k miles, with approximately 200 being added by the seller in the past six months.
The 5.3-liter V12 was originally rated at 262 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque and sends power to the rear wheels via a 3-speed automatic transmission.
A Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate accompanies the car, along with various literature from events in which the car participated.
