t is a 1985 Up for bid is a very rare xjs. This car from what I have been told is 1 of a hand full of exec. experimental corp. cars sent to the US to see if they would sell. This car is very clean for its age. Unfortunately I am not a jag specialist & even though I am able to wrench myself this car has wore me out. My loss is your gain. The car runs but not well. It serges & wants to die. It does not knock & valves are not noisy. The a/c doesnt blow cold(compressor doesnt cycle) maybe low on freon. Yesterday for some reason the passenger window would not work for me. Worked fine before. There is no trunk carpet due to when I got it I was told there was a gas leak that previous owner had to fix. Drivers rear view mirror doesnt work. Body wise it has the usual small dents & dings for its age. Worst scratch is on the drivers fender about a foot long(my guess a mechanic didnt cover the fender before working on it). there is a rust bubble in front of the drivers rear tire the size of a quarter. has not gone through the paint yet. Also needs fresh undercoat because the shop where I stored it has a steep ramp & drags just enough to mess up the undercoat which is the other reason for selling it. I have had this car for several years & has been indoors, but had to move the car out side.
This is a chance for a jag lover to own a real piece of history at a reasonable price. This car will have to be picked up due to the running condition. VIN#sajjnaec8cc120637

Car returns to ebay 1/5/16
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XJS-/311517534772
Current bid $1,525 reserve not met 6 bids 5 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Lyons, Illinois. 137k miles, seller silverstone-motorcars.
Sellers description:
What we have here is a rare 1985 European Specification Jaguar XJS Coupe featuring the venerable 6 cylinder fuel injected Jaguar engine coupled to a very rare five speed manual transmission. This car has a European Spec VIN: SAJJNAEC8CC120637 which is perfectly valid but will not properly decode in the US. This XJS is finished in Red and the paint is in good condition; the Oyster/Tan leather interior complements the exterior and color and overall, this car is in very good condition.
This 1985 Jaguar XJS Coupe has not been in any accidents, is a Texas car and has a very solid body. The engine was running but is not currently and we were told she needs a fuel pump.

Current bid US $1,325 reserve not met 13 bids 6 days left in auction, seller 7366lawrence, 70k miles, car now said to be in Hardy, Virginia.
Sellers description:
This is one of the rare six-cylinder, five-speed Getrag cars brought to the US. It's nearly all original and nearly rust-free. It has the original paint. The front seats have been recovered at some time. The car recently had a $4000 go-through to get it in good running shape after it sat for years. The dash has a couple non-essential controls that don't work, but all functions necessary for inspection are working. The VIN is SAJJNAEC8CC120637
