Finished in Mineral Metallic Blue with Grey leather upholstery, this particular example has been extensively uprated. Attributed to Forward Engineering, its enlarged 7.4-litre engine develops a claimed 460bhp and 516lbft. Benefiting from a Bray engine pre-heater and Hayward & Scott stainless steel exhaust system linked to tubular manifolds, the V12 is backed by five-speed manual transmission. AP Racing 6-pot callipers operating 325mm ventilated discs up front with smaller vented units on the rear provide enhanced retardation, while a Harvey Bailey suspension upgrade including front / rear anti-roll bars and Koni shock absorbers all-round gives better roadholding. Sporting a Banham dashboard conversion and TWR bodykit plus 17-inch Speedline alloys shod with Pirelli P Zero tyres, 'C12 AFW' is described by the vendor as being in "very good overall condition" and comes complete with car cover and MOT into August 2013.

www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JAGUAR-XJS-C-7-4-LITRE-V12-MANUAL-460BHP-8K-MILES-/2211368229 ...
On eBay UK October 10, 2012. Asking UKL 13,995 now. Listing says: Jaguar XJ-SC 7.4 Litre V-12 Manual with 460 BHP. This is a January 1986 collector quality Jaguar XJ-SC which has had in excess of £ 50,000 spent on it’s restoration and well thought out performance upgrades. Circa 8,000 miles since completion and only 58,000 miles total. Comprehensively restored (for the most part by the highly regarded Jaguar specialist J. Wilkinson) and where appropriate, the re-engineering of certain aspects to give the car a higher degree of ‘sportiness’ whilst at the same time retaining it’s Grand Tourer credentials. Detailed hand written notes in the history file clearly demonstrate the thought process and costs involved in achieving this goal. Very easy to drive gently, it’s suspension is firmer than standard so gives greater control but nonetheless remains supple. Clutch is light and progressive with the manual gears being easy to engage. The Jaguar Sport power steering conversion is superb and gives excellent feedback. Even though the upgraded engine is now 7.4 litres and produces some 460 BHP, in normal driving you would never guess the beast that lies within. Floor the throttle however and your reward is instantaneous, with brutal and unceasing acceleration. Brief synopsis of major work: 7.4 litre engine upgrade by Forward Engineering (Ron Beatty) producing 460 BHP and 516 lbft at 3,500 rpm and 422 lbft @ 1250rpm, 5-Speed Getrag Manual Transmission, ECU upgrade by AJ6 Engineering, High Capacity aluminium oil cooler, Harvey Bailey suspension upgrades with anti-roll bars front & rear, Koni shock absorbers and scuttle body stiffening kit, Jaguar Sport 40% power steering, Hayward & Scott performance exhaust system, Twin headlamp conversion and upgraded performance illumination. Following a bare metal re-paint, the fitting of a TWR body kit, special rear seat was developed to make it a 2+2, 17-inch Speedline alloys shod with Pirelli P Zero tyres, AP Racing 6-pot callipers operating 325 mm ventilated discs up front with smaller vented units on the rear provide enhanced retardation. This car is still in superb overall condition. As to be expected, there are a few minor touch ins but nothing to cause concern. Complete with service book, handbook, all MOT’s, copy of ‘Jaguar World’ magazine road test, detailed notes on restoration/upgrades and invoices.
