Ebay item 9/4/09
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-3-6-1986-Jaguar-XJSC-3-6-Convertible_W0QQitemZ290 ...
Opening bid $1,000 reserve not met, no bids yet 6 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
1986 Jaguar XJ-SC 3.6litre 6 cylinder 5-speed manual transmission Convertible with 56,000 miles. VIN SAJJNACC8CC127907 . Very few of these cars were built and imported to the United States.
In the XJ-SC, the rear jump seats were eliminated making it only a 2-seat car. It is not a full convertible but has a non-removable centre targa-type structure and fixed cant rails above the doors. 5-speed manual transmission for the 6-cylinder cars.
The car features: dual power seats, tilt wheel control, cruise control, power windows, power locks, tachometer, real gauges for fuel, oil pressure, Engine Coolant Temperature, and Battery, manual transmission. Above the center console there is trip computer with eight function buttons used to display trip computer information: DISP, TIME, AVG SPEED, DIST, FUEL, AVE, INST, RESET.
Car runs great but has an electrical problem that I have not found a fix for. Car will turn on and run with absolutely no problems on one day and then another day it wont stay on. Don't have the time and or money to further look into this.
Body and paint are good. Some small scratches and a dent on left rear fender(see picture).
Interior has no major damage. Just some normal wear and tear. No stereo.

This 1986 Jaguar XJ-SC is a European model that was originally sold in Germany before being imported to the US. It has reportedly been registered in California since 1991 and the selling dealer acquired it three years ago. Soon after their purchase, the clutch pedal hydraulics failed and the pedal dropped to the floor. New clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder kits were bought from a Jaguar dealer, which are included. The vehicle starts and runs according to the seller, and power comes from a 3.6-liter inline-six paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. This Jaguar now shows 55,943 miles and is being offered at no reserve with factory books, an accident-free Carfax report, an NMVTIS check, and a clean California title.
Aside from OEM 1988 model wheels, the seller states that the exterior has been kept stock. Bodywork appears straight and the paint carries a good shine in these pictures.
The convertible roof features two removable targa panels up front and a folding rear section as shown above and detailed in the photo gallery below.
The trunk contains a spare factory wheel/tire along with a jack and factory books, manuals, and documents.
Inside, the driver's seat upholstery is separating on the bottom cushion, and the outer bolster shows heavy wear. The interior appears largely stock throughout.
The factory radio is missing from the dashboard, and the odometer displays 55,943 miles though total mileage is unknown. The Getrag 265 manual 5-speed transmission has some play in the shifter per the seller. New OEM clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder kits are included with the sale to address the failed clutch pedal hydraulics.
The naturally-aspirated AJ6 3.6-liter inline-six is unmodified to the seller's knowledge. It starts and runs well per the seller, though the car will need to be driven once the clutch is fixed to assess current mechanical condition. A new battery and water pump were reportedly fitted in the past.
